Your

Questions,

Answered.

  • At this time, we are not accepting new clients as we focus on providing the best care to our current patients. We will share any updates on our social media pages when availability opens. Thank you for your understanding.

  • We’re happy to offer shared trip fees when clients are on the same property and both have scheduled appointments with us. Please let our scheduler know when booking so we can combine visits and adjust the fee accordingly. If appointments are at different times or on separate days, standard trip fees will apply.

  • Ideally, we recommend scheduling as early as possible since our availability fills up quickly. We typically book about a month in advance, so the sooner you request an appointment, the better we can accommodate your needs.

  • For ongoing medical questions, the best way to reach Dr. Rigdon is by texting our office at (904) 228-6644. He will respond as soon as possible, typically within 48 hours, by text or email. Due to a busy clinical schedule, response times may vary.

  • To maintain an active client relationship and remain eligible for emergency coverage, Dr. Rigdon requires a yearly visit. For livestock clients this means a herd visit; for equine clients this means an annual exam with vaccinations.

  • Large animal veterinary medicine is unique in the fact that we remain on call at all times. Our practice is not an emergency practice, but a general practice that offers emergency coverage. Emergency services are only available to active clients that are seen at least once annually. This helps us provide timely care and prioritize patients that we have an ongoing relationship with. This also allows us to better understand the animal’s medical needs in the event of an emergency.

  • Call our regular office number and listen to the voicemail for instructions on reaching our after-hours emergency line. Leave a detailed message, and Dr.Rigdon will return your call as soon as possible.

Please note: the emergency number changes periodically and should not be saved.

  • We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept cash, check, credit card (+ 3/5% cc fee), venmo, cash app and Care Credit.

  • If you need to change or cancel your appointment, please let our office know. We request the courtesy of a 48 hour notice for cancellations. This allows ample time to schedule another appointment in your place. If an appointment is canceled within 24 hours of the appointment time, a cancellation fee will be applied.
